(It is called Christmas salad, because the pomegranate used on Christmas day is one of the ingredients required for its preparation)
Ingredients
- 1 medium green cabbage
- 3 carrots, grated
- 2 sour apples, diced
- 1 cup walnuts, ground
- 250 gr yoghurt
- 250 gr mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- The seeds from 1 pomegranate
- Salt
- 1 lemon, juiced
- Vinegar
Preparation
Chop the cabbage very thinly and put it in a large salad bowl. Add the other ingredients and mix them lightly. Refrigerate the salad and serve cold. The salad should be consumed within 2 to 3 days. Instead of mayonnaise and mustard you could use 250gr fresh cream whisked lightly.
